Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

    The expression of recombinant Clostridium perfringens plc protein includes the construction of the expression vector containing the recombinant DNA and the transformation of the expression vector into the E.coli, which provides a variety of macromolecules and components required for transcription and translation. The recombinant DNA was formed by fusing the N-terminal 6xHis tag sequence to the designated sequence encoding the 29-398aa of the Clostridium perfringens plc protein. This N-terminal 6xHis-tagged recombinant Clostridium perfringens plc protein is also characterized by high purity, >85%. Under SDS-PAGE condition, this recombinant plc protein migrated to the band of about 48 kDa molecular weight.

    Clostridium perfringens Phospholipase C is the most toxic extracellular enzyme produced by this bacteria. Clostridium perfringens, a rod-shaped, gram-positive, anaerobic, spore-forming bacterium is one of the most widely occurring bacterial pathogens, associated with a spectrum of diseases in humans. CpPLC functions to impair host-immune system. A major virulence factor during its infection is the enzyme phospholipase C encoded by the plc gene, known as Clostridium perfringens phospholipase C (CpPLC). Several lines of evidence indicate that CpPLC is the major virulence factor in the pathogenesis of gas gangrene. The common assumption that, when causing intestinal disease, C. perfringens relies upon specific, plasmid-encoded toxins, was recently challenged by the finding that alpha toxin, which is produced by all C. CpPLC disturbs PKC/MAPK/RTK signaling and alters mitochondrial dynamics. Presently, researches uncovered the the role of CpPLC in inducing survival mechanisms and mitochondrial-induced epigenetic changes through a human lymphocyte cell culture model.

    Bacterial hemolysins are exotoxins that attack blood cell membranes and cause cell rupture. Constitutes an essential virulence factor in gas gangrene. Binds to eukaryotic membranes where it hydrolyzes both phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin. The diacylglycerol produced can activate both the arachidonic acid pathway, leading to modulation of the inflammatory response cascade and thrombosis, and protein kinase C, leading to activation of eukaryotic phospholipases and further membrane damage. Acts on human and mouse erythrocytes, but not on rabbit or horse erythrocytes.
